Hidden Creek - A Mountain Escape

Hidden Creek is a quiet retreat for Smoky Mountain visitors who want to avoid the crowds in
Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It is separated from neighboring cabins by a half mile of forest
but that does not mean sacrificing convenience. Hidden Creek is just eight miles from the

The cabin sits beside a mountain creek which can be heard through open windows in the

long walking trail. The private hot tub on the wrap around porch is a perfect spot for soaking up
mountain views and starry nights.
The cabin has a large, spacious floor plan with vaulted ceilings. The living area, dining area,
kitchen, and master bedroom are on the main level. The cabin includes a real wood burning

Beautiful Home! Beautiful Home! Wish we could have stayed longer. Went to the aquarium, World Record, and Haunted House-All Ripley attractions. Very fun for our girl. Hiking and then off to Nashville. A very nice stay. Bragg Family Indiana

We will be back ! I just want to say thank you for making our honeymoon perfect. I loved the fresh, yellow roses and the rose petals. Big thank you! Your cabin is warm, welcoming to all families. We love it here. We will be back next year! Hungerland Family Ohio

Relaxing and isolated We loved the cottage! Comfortable couch and bed, new appliances and TVs provided inside comfort. Babbling brook, fire ring, grill and swing called us outside--until the snow hit! But it was beautiful!
Management Response: Thank you for reviewing us!

Very peaceful and quiet. Only concern was the driveway and rails on stairway a little loose. Overall loved the stay.
Management Response: Thank you for your review! The rails on the stairway are going to be replaced in the near future by the owner.

Beautiful escape into the wilderness Finding this cabin definitely had us newbies in our first fight after marriage, but once we arrived all was well. This cabin was the perfect escape we needed from the real world and so relaxing! The cabin itself is up kept very nicely and pretty easy to access once you know where to go. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
Management Response: This cabin never disappoints!

Peaceful perfection Just to save the reader some time, I'll start off by saying that all of the 5- star reviews are true and the pictures are accurate. You seriously do not need to look any further for the perfect vacation spot. I'm a caregiver for two different households on top of working as an auditor for a major retail chain. Once in a while I just crave some peace and solitude. Hidden Creek gave me that as well as absolute comfort and all the conveniences I could want. Neat as a pin, perfectly furnished and equipped, beautiful surroundings, secluded but not totally isolated and most of all, blessed peace. No other cabins in sight or earshot- and sound does travel in these mountains. I did see a car through the trees on another road a couple of times but other than that, no people, no traffic. Down to specifics. I would have called the road and the driveway steep if I hadn't visited in the region before. There are steeper roads around the area, trust me. Once you have your first go at it, it won't seem too bad at all. I have to say that the owners maintain their private road a lot better than the county maintains the one road leading up to it (the mailman must be a real mountain man.) Just take it easy, follow the directions and any average car will do fine. Speaking of directions, those supplied when you book are definitely the best way to go. I went exploring one day and got happily lost and had to use Google Maps which did get me back to the front door, but NOT by the best route. Just know that it works, but only as a backup. I was hoping for a variety of wildlife but I had to settle for a lone wild turkey who would mosey down to the head of the driveway every day. Maybe he wanted a little alone time as well. The creek the icing on the cake. A morning walk on the adjacent trail truly restores the soul. I hope to be able to visit again one day but in the meantime I'll have the memories of the very best vacation I can remember

Perfect Place PRIVATE, CLEAN, QIUET. I mean there is just too many good things to say about this place. It was my first time taking my family up there and my two young boys did not want to leave. The place was so clean. The creek was awesome the pictures don't do this place justice. It was far better than we could've imagined. Never once heard a car, never once did we hear a dog or other people. Most private cabin I've ever been to or seen. We went out to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg our second day and we regretted it. Next time we will just stay put in God's country.
Management Response: Thank you so much for the incredible review! It was our pleasure to have you stay and we are so pleased that you had a terrific stay! Hidden Creek is ,as you described it,a quiet peaceful cabin with a year round creek and all the things that one needs to make memories on a mountain vacation! Thanks again!

William Jones We had a great time at the cabin (Hidden Creek) it was very nice and peaceful. We look forward to our next stay. The last .6 of a mile is steep and difficult for a 2 wheel drive but manageable. I put 8 - 10 large rocks in the back of my truck so I could get up the driveway without spinning. There are several trails on the property to hike on. The creek is small but interesting. We went WW rafting in Hartford on the Upper Pigeon with the grandkids and had a blast.

Tranquility Tranquility is at hand when you get to this location. Everything else is a plus; cleanliness and necessities.
  • - 7/15/2019

Heavenly Remote Hidden Creek Cabin exceeded our expectations in cleanliness and comfort. We arrived well before dark to make sure we found the cabin. SO glad we did. When the directions say do not rely on SIRI they mean it. We had to do some backtracking and actually had to put our car in reverse and back down a steep grade at one point to make it up a hill, but after arriving, it was well worth it. All the comforts of home, only better! Room enough for all of us to sprawl out to watch a movie, comfortable beds, equipped kitchen, laundry, beautiful master bath, this is an amazing find. The best part though is the outside! No sounds but the sounds of nature; the creek, whiporwill's, cicada's.... Next time, we will bring a different vehicle so coming and going are not so difficult. LOVE!

Amazing place! We enjoyed our honeymoon stay very much!! It was very clean and quiet and we loved the hot tub and fire pit. It was a beautifully furnished place! Could definitely tell someone put a lot of work into preparing it!!

Such a peaceful place I traveled from Indianapolis. I have been separated from my wife since September 2017. This was my first trip alone and it served its purpose. I wanted to get away and clear my mind and refocus. I spent 3 days and 4 nights here and did not make any human contact. LOL I can’t explain how peaceful it was to my mind and soul. Your home is great and you are very fortunate. Nature is everything and to be able to take it all in was simply amazing. I don’t know how many people have spent 3 days alone in nature but it’s something I will highly recommend. Such a busy, chaotic world and it’s hard to find peacefulness. I’m leaving here more at peace than I have ever felt. I hope to carry this with me for a long time. Thanks for opening up your house and know your home will have a place in my soul forever. Great stay in a remote location. Very comfortable, relaxing cabin! Loved the hot tub, fireplace, fire pit and the sound of the small creek. Close enough to get to the park and restaurants easily, but far away from the crowds. Hoping to come back again.
Management Response: Thank you for your review!

Great Cabin This is an absolute beautiful cabin but it is deep into the woods. A four wheel drive is definitely recommended as my husband and I got stuck in the driveway bc of the steep incline. We would most definitely stay again tho!
Management Response: Thank you for the great review---Hidden creek is secluded and has everything that one needs to have a great stay!

Exactly what we wanted We had a wonderful stay at Hidden Creek. :) It was in the middle of no where and close enough to the action of Gatlinburg at the same time. We enjoyed the vibrant fall colors while soaking in the hot tub. Very relaxing vacation.

Quite a holiday retreat! Our family came here to have family time for the New Year’s Eve! After several missed turns, we found the secret treasure! Our last night, we had snow, and everyone was AFRAID to drive. We came from Iowa where they have had snow every day since we left (9-12” total). Yes, we’re used to our 4 wheel drive and all-wheel drive so the driveway was not hard to navigate. The kids enjoyed walking the creek up to the road. We spent one day in Gatlinburg, fun for all! A couple went horseback riding and a couple drove to Nashville for the bowl game that our Hawkeyes were predicted to play in but UNI did. The cabin is very welcoming and homey. We all slept in and stayed up later than we are used to-Very Relaxing! Hope to return soon!

What a gem WOW! Words alone cannot describe the beauty and seclusion of this place! Although we had heard about the cabin, we were very pleasantly surprised. We came for a long weekend for rest and relaxation. We traveled from NW Indiana where we had 20 inches of snow the weekend before we left. So even though it rained most of Saturday, the weather was perfect. It was nice to sit barefoot on the deck and listen to the creek and wildlife. We traveled to Cades Cove so the hot tub was very relaxing after that. Our daughter came Saturday afternoon from Nashville, TN so it was nice to be able to see and visit with her as well. From the moment we stepped out of the car we felt completely at home, from the layout of the house, to the décor, it is outstanding. Our daughter even enjoyed the porch swing. We have already recommended this to several friends and we hope to return when Roaring Forks Road is open and can hopefully bring our son when he is on a break from college for a family vacation. This is the most relaxed I have felt in years and exactly what I needed. Blessings to all who enter Hidden Creek. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Private, peaceful, secluded cabin/home in a nature lovers paradise When I booked this cabin and location, I read the reviews and what attracted me the most was the way previous visitors said the location was far from the attractions and away from people. We did drive the beautiful scenic route to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to do some touristy things, but the sole purpose of our trip was to unplug from our day to day stress. So we stayed at the cabin enjoyed the fireplace, nature trail and creek that are on the property. I never used the WiFi, but I always had cell service. We have Android phones and Verizon service. My only disappointment for the weekend was that we didn't see any black bears. Although the cabin decor was tastefully decorated with them. We also drove up the Newfound Gap route and in Cades Cove we did a nature trail hike to Abrams falls while on the trip. The little town of Cosby had cute little shops that we visited and talked to the owners and felt like we were locals as if we had come back to our hometown after being gone for a while. I will choose to stay at Hidden Creek again when we bring our grown children back with us for another relaxing vacation in the future. I highly recommend staying at Hidden Creek or somewhere in Cosby just because I do not like the tourist trap of Gatlinburg. For me the tourism cheapens the natural beauty of The Great Smokey Mountains. The cabin was clean, well stocked, cozy, spacious, and updated. The kitchen dishes and cookware is of good quality, some Rachel Ray and Pampered Chef items. The bathroom linens were clean soft and the throw rugs were of luxery quality. The bedding was soft cotton with cozy mattress covers. We brought our own pillows and favorite blankets from home to add to the comfort. The couch was a large sized sectional with plenty of lounging space. The wrap-around-deck gives several outdoor seating to view nature all around. I especially appreciated that there is no smoking in the cabin and I did not notice any hint of it anywhere in the cabin. I also appreciate that there was no dogs allowed and also noticed there was no hint of an animal smell anywhere in the cabin. The fire in the fireplace was most appealing. We brought our own firewood and we used most of it except for about 10 pieces. We would have used the firepit outside except for the time of year we visited was rainy so we we missed out on that opportunity. Bottom line, if you want people around go to a hotel. If you enjoy privacy this is the place to be.

Absolutely amazing! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin ??
  • - 7/3/2019

Loved it Our family with young children had a great time at this property. There was a portable crib and plenty of bedding for all of us. Our favorite features of the property were the cabin itself (warm and inviting feel) as well as the creek at the back of the property. We spent a good deal of time in the creek spotting and catching and returning different forms of creek creatures. The drive to Newport (Walmart) is 16 mins and the drive to Gatlinburg was closer to 45 mins. We enjoyed being outside of the main tourist areas (Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge) but wouldn't have wanted to be much further than we were from some of the main Smoky Mtn attractions like Cades Cove (go in the morning for less traffic) and Clingman's Dome. We really enjoyed the nature hike at the National Park in Cosby (approx 1 mi hike) and attempted one of the longer hikes from there but turned back because our young kids (and our backs) were running out energy. The property itself was everything we hoped for!

Hidden Creek So glad we chose to stay here and not a hotel or resort. It was our own private oasis. We explored the property and surrounding area. Enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Even had fun playing the video games.

Great place for R&R! The cabin is beautiful, has everything you need for a brief stay or longer, hot tub lovely, grounds looked very inviting, we didn't explore weather was not the greatest cold and raining for our 4 night 5 day stay, but we still had a great time.P.S. lots of games to.
