Great Wedding Cabin Our family went up for my sons wedding. It was beautiful. The cabin was even better than the pictures show. The wedding was held on the front porch with the view of the mountains in the background. The newly weds enjoyed the hot tub and the whirlpool bath, and the fire pit after the parents left. The only draw back to this cabin is the narrow road to get to it, but it was worth trip. We almost hit a neighbor getting out one morning, but found where some of the best shops were and made a good friend. Wonderful area. Would especially recommend it to Honeymooners. Very private on 13 secluded acres. The cabin was very clean and the furniture in great condition.

We LOVED Ridge Top Retreat Our family of 6 stayed in this beautiful cabin for the week of Christmas. This cabin is so amazing, as are the views (we had a gorgeous sunset view from the hot tub on Christmas Eve that I will NEVER forget)! I will forever carry very fond memories of this cozy, secluded, peaceful Christmas with my family and will forever be grateful to the owners for sharing their cabin. Very impressed also with the management company, we had to call Debbie a few days into our stay to inquire about wasp spray or a flyswatter which we couldn't locate (we dealt with 4 wasps overall prior to this phone call...probably due in large part to the unusually warm weather this year). She wasn't aware of whether the cabin was equipped with that - but said she would see if she could get pest control out to investigate. Less than 30 minutes later, a very kind and helpful Orkin man was at the door, and thank goodness for him! There was a larger problem than we knew, but he took care of it and the rest of our stay was pest-free! We were VERY impressed with management getting someone out there to take care of the issue so quickly! There were a few other small things I noted to management separately, but NOTHING that would prevent me from staying again (and actually we are thinking about planning another vacation with more family in the future). One thing to note: "THE ROAD"... Reading some of the reviews gave me a lot of anxiety over this prior to the trip (and while driving it the first time). But nobody really said WHY it was so scary, so I am going to try to explain the 'why'. It was a little daunting. It is a rural mountain road. It is narrow (at times there is no way 2 cars can pass - but the few times we came across this it was easily remedied by one car stopping or even reversing to a wider area or driveway, etc. It is a common happening I'm sure with local residents), there are blind curves and one "blind hill" which you can't see over (depending on which way you come in on Balls Hollow Road). The driveway from one direction is a very sharp turn. The driveway is also VERY steep and has another sharp turn at the top. Our non-4-wheel-drive vehicle made it several times just fine though. If there would have been snow...I am not so sure! At any rate, take the road calmly (very important) and slowly, and you will be FINE. The more you drive it back and forth, the more comfortable you get. By the end of the week, for us, it was no big deal.

Wonderful! This was our third year staying at a Smoky Mountain Falls rental, and first year at Ridge Top Retreat. We absolutely loved it and can see why it fills quickly. The whole cabin is decorated well and is just so comfortable. We found ourselves coming back to the cabin looking forward to playing some pool, getting in the hot tub, building a fire, or just relaxing. As far as the road to the cabin that is mentioned in other reviews, we didn't find it a big deal. Just go slow. We highly recommend Ridge Top Retreat!

Family Vacation My family of 8 stayed at Ridge Top Retreat for 5 fun-filled days! The drive to the cabin was slightly daunting but you get used to it. The cabin was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with every pot, pan and utensil you'd need. The kids LOVED the game room and spent most of their time playing pool. Having the queen sized bunk beds in the game room allowed all the kids to be together. The master bedroom was lovely and the loft bedroom was comfortable. I think my only suggestion would be to add a small dresser to the loft bedroom and some towel racks in the loft bath. The cabin was nicely decorated. We went to Cades Cove (saw 5 bears), had a picnic at Metcalf Bottoms where the kids LOVED playing in the water. Rode the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster and walked around Gatlinburg. We had a great trip and are already planning another.

beautiful cabin The cabin was wonderful and the area, the only complaint is that the game room needs some tlc the fuse ball table didn't work well the heads were falling off the players and the board games just need to be thrown away.

Ridge Top Retreat Very pleasant experience. The road leading to the cabin was a bit nerve racking but once there it was very nice. Nice if you like a secluded cabin.

Spring Break in the Mountains!! We had a amazing vacation! The cabin was absolutely beautiful! Very clean, spacious we couldn't have asked for anything better! the only problem we had with the cabin was the road and driveway getting to the cabin. It was kinda scarey lol. Thank you sooo much for allowing us to stay there. Looking forward to renting again from you. Thanks again, Megan Lee

Ridge Top Retreat. The Ridge Top Retreat was a pleasant and relaxing stay for me and my family. The cabin that was tucked away in a nearly completely secluded part of the woods had 3 floors and beautiful views. Each floor had something great to offer. Whether it was the top floor that offered a beautiful view out of multiple massive windows from the comfort of the bed, the second floor with its quaint kitchen, open living room with lots of spaces to seat, a convenient washer and dryer, and the gorgeous master bedroom, or the bottom floor with the pool table, foosball table, and bedroom with queen size bunkbeds. Although the bedroom on the second floor was the master bedroom, none of the others were lackluster. Each floor had a bathroom, except the second floor which had two; one for the house, and a private one for the master bedroom. The cabin also had a personal hot tub and grill in a screened in porch with plenty of space. But the little details are what showed that the owners cared. Almost every detail in the cabin was set to the same theme. Most of the cabin had bear paintings, art, and pelts; while the kitchen comprised of rooster art. But, overall, the whole cabin was decorated like the woods and nature it was surrounded by. Picking places to stay in and around the Smoky Mountains can be a gamble. But the property manager, Debbie, was perfectly helpful with every aspect. There were so many positives and so few negatives to this cabin that we feel like we took another gamble renting a cabin we've never seen, and we won the jackpot. The only real complaint we have is that we had to leave at the end of our vacation and couldn't just move into the cabin.
