The master bedroom shares the double-sided fireplace with the living room. Beautiful white cedar furniture is throughout the cabin.

Guests can enjoy soaking in the hot tub on the screened porch off of the back deck. Ridge Top Retreat has plenty of room and all of the amenities you would expect from a luxury cabin. All paved roads to the cabin driveway with a short distance of gravel.

• How far is the cabin from the various attractions, stores, etc?
Almost all of the area attractions – downtown Gatlinburg, Dollywood, Ripley’s Aquarium, Ober Ski Resort, and the various shows are all within a 20-30 minute drive, and a hours drive to Clingman's Dome in The Great Smoky Mountains. The Cosby entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only 10 minutes from the Cabin. There is a Food City just before Gatlinburg on Hwy 321, about 15 miles from the cabin. There is also a Wal-Mart about 22 miles to the north of the cabin on Highway 321, or off I40 exit 435. And there is a Dollar General only 12 minutes from the cabin on Highway 321S.

• How private is the cabin?
Unlike many cabins in the Smokies, Ridge Top Retreat is not part of a rental cabin compound. Our Ridge Top Retreat is perched on top of a ridge and surrounded by 13 acres of private forest.

• Are there bears?
Occasionally there is a bear sighting in the area. Guests are asked to use caution with regard to food storage, trash disposal, etc.

• How many does the cabin sleep?
The cabin will accommodate up to 8 people. We have 2 beds plus a queen size bunk bed . With 2900 SF, there is plenty enough space to accommodate two families.

• Is there Fishing close to the cabin?
Yes! Only a short drive from the cabin to Cosby Creek, a blue ribbon trout stream, or Green Brier, both are great for wading, tubing, and fishing and are routinely stocked with rainbow trout.

• Are there Hiking trails close to the cabin?
Yes! Cosby, Tennessee borders the Great Smoky National Park and the Cherokee National Forest. Many of the top hiking trails and waterfalls begin in Cosby. The Cosby entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains hiking trails and the Hen Wallow Waterfall is only 10 minutes from the cabin at Cosby Campground.
